JEAN PROUVE’ CITE CHAIR
I am soooo into Jean Prouvé’s design. A French architect and designer, he trained as an artisan blacksmith and in 1931 he established the Atelier Jean Prouvé, where he began to produce light-weight metal furniture of his own design, as well as collaborating with Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand. His collectors include actor Brad Pitt, the gallery owner Larry Gagosian, and the fashion designer Marc Jacobs. The Cite chair by Vitra is actually one of his early creations, dated back to 1931. Wow, good design doesn’t really grow old.
